Also especially appreciated the caution against taking up the cross as a means to get grace. Can sneak up on one sometimes.

Always wondered about the Isaac thing- like was he traumatized or so secure it didn’t bother him? Or why’d God do that? It’s mean.
I'll have to write on that when it comes up in the lectionary. It's too rich to treat lightly.
